The GiroDisc 2-Piece Slotted Performance Brake Rotors replace the OE (Original Equipment) brake disc, requiring no alterations. The disc fits OE calipers and bolts straight to the vehicle. Your factory bias and ABS efficiency are maintained by replacing your brakes with lightweight, high-performance alternatives rather than a larger brake kit. Girodisc rear rotors weigh 11lbs vs. 18lbs for stock. Reduced rotational and unsprung weight improves acceleration and suspension response. Our rotor's center hat is crafted from U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aluminum. The disc is built from Girodisc's unique cast iron and machined in-house. The rotor uses a racing-inspired curved vane design to drive cooled air across the disc.
The GiroDisc 2-Piece Slotted Performance Brake Rotors use 8 or 10 high-strength steel-driving pins manufactured by Girodisc in the USA to strict standards and cadmium coated for corrosion protection. GiroDisc Rotors are lighter and respond faster than original heavy rotors. GiroRotors are compatible with OE calipers and maintain OEM brake bias and ABS. These pins handle braking loads while preserving axial and radial float between hat and disc. Cap screws with reinforced washers safeguard the pins. The pins are fitted with anti-noise spring washers on the rotor side to protect the rotors from generating noise while cold. This allows the rotor to expand with heat but eliminates the rattling and noise typical with floating rotors. The rotor can self-center with this float. After installing Girodisc, just replace the cast iron rotor.
