Lead Times - FED lead times vary from 3 to 6 weeks, and even longer at peak season. Is it worth the wait?
- FED PORTING SERVICES ARE NOT TYPICAL – Porting services use the same standards and processes we use for ProMod®, NASCAR® and NHRA®. These standards produce the best high performance induction systems in the world based on reliability, consistency, combustion efficiency and horsepower.
- EXCLUSIVE PORT PROGRAMS – 100% of FED’s advanced port programs are developed in-house and tested to achieve performance objectives for velocity, density, pressured and flow at each stage of the combustion process. Performance outcomes are developed in context of the induction system using Reactive Airflow Modeling and then validated on the engine application.
- MUCH MORE THAN PORTING –The vast majority of FED customers buy assembled heads. Why? Absolute precision. Every step of FED’s machining requires exceedingly tight tolerances for rock solid valve train stability. The deck, valve job and spring seats are machined true to ensure precise valve tip heights, uniform install heights for exacting spring pressures and zero runout. FED uses the highest quality components to meet critical quality standards which are re-verified pre and post assembly to +/- .005″ and every port is vacuum tested.
- WHY THE EXTREME ATTENTION TO DETAIL –The assembled cylinder head is the linchpin responsible for keeping harmony between cam, lifter, pushrod, rocker, springs and valves while ensuring valves open and close flawlessly from from low to high rpms. Customers appreciate the outcomes of our obsessive attention to detail. FED’s commitment to tight tolerances ensure ideal spring pressures, higher combustion efficiency and valve train stability.
FED cylinder heads demonstrate more power on the track because we invest time executing hundreds of small details that others overlook.
