Product Description
DSX Atlas Port Injection Controller - LT1 / LT4
Please note that right now, we are in the process of building harnesses which means these will not ship instantly. By purchasing a controller, you are putting yourself in queue to receive one when we have completed the wiring harness. We hope to have Racespec lined out to help with fulfillment but please be patient as it may take a few weeks to ship your order as we try and get ahead of the curve.
If you've been looking for the most seamless integration of port injection into your E92/E92a equipped GM vehicle, then you've come to the right place. The Atlas™ controller can be summed up in three words: it just works. At the core of the controller is a patent pending algorithm that automatically calculates what to do in real time alongside your engine controller. With the help of a patch deployed through HP Tuners, the factory ECU's CAN output structure is modified to send a large amount of data at a blazing 160Hz update rate. The end result is compensation for all varying operating conditions with extreme reliability and confidence. Full fuel cut? We cover it. Partial fuel cut? We cover it. Pressure/boost/airflow/fuel changes? We cover it.
If you've ever been sick of a physical connection to edit anything, you can rest easy. There is no option to plug a cord into the Atlas™; it generates it's own WiFi network that you connect to, and all changes are done through a web browser. Both the UI and the actual fuel control system have their own firmware, and both are updatable through the web UI as well as the ability to view live data from the controller. You shouldn't need to view data live in the controller though since the Atlas™ is a supported device in HP Tuner's VCM Scanner! You can view tons of live data out of the controller by simply scanning with HP Tuners so you can see exactly what is happening.
Gone are the days of needing to hack up the airflow modeling and skew torque to get things back to semi-functional state. Because of the operating method, the factory ECU is able to continue registering airflow as if nothing was wrong which means your torque model remains intact and will report accurate information. Tuning has never been easier because with the Atlas™, you simply tell it your injector data, and then you tune the ECM like nothing ever changed. Please note that accurate injector data is the cornerstone of repeatable results, and for this reason, we strongly urge you to use either factory GM injectors or Injector Dynamics brand. If you use something besides these, we will not offer support or troubleshooting if you have inconsistent fueling. MAF only, blended, speed density... none of it matters, and the controller only needs to interface with the cam and crank sensor signals. No other sensors need to be intercepted or compensated for, and you don't need to have a bunch of fudge factor/tweak tables to make it work.
Dual bank widebands are available separately which allow bank to bank closed loop operation while the port injection system is active. Though not required, the wideband system further cleans up any little inconsistencies whether from atmospheric conditions, an incomplete calibration, or any other reason. The dual wideband setup uses two AFX3 widebands with NTK sensors that are specifically programmed for the Atlas™ controller (you cannot just run your own wideband of whatever choice you want). We use these purpose programmed widebands to offer more data, faster data, and better reliability due to onboard error checking of the widebands.
This controller requires a patch applied to the operating system to enable communication; there is no option for standalone function. The patch is only available through HP Tuners, so you will need to use VCM Editor as a bare minimum to patch and reflash the ECU, and then you'd have to read the file back out with whatever other tuning platform you are using. Boost control for supercharger bypass valves is currently in development and will be a free public update to all controllers. Functional updates will come as they are developed, and the latest software will be made available on the site.
Atlas Dual Bank Wideband Add-On - This dual bank wideband system is based on ECM's AFX3 wideband with NTK sensors. Each box is specifically programmed and labeled to identify which bank it is assigned to. The sensors are pre-calibrated to each harness, and the boxes are sealed (as well as the cal knob) to improve durability. These are intended to work exclusively with the Atlas™ port injection controller.
